NEW THIS YEAR
Required Golf Skills Qualifier for ALL athletes
For many years Special Olympics Maine has offered an Individual Skills Competition. This year (and moving forward) we are requiring ALL athletes to attend the Individual Skills Qualifier. If an athlete qualifies to play at Level 2 (Unified 9-Hole) and/or Level 3 (Individual 9-Hole) they do not need to attend the skills qualifier next year. However, this status can change based on the previous golf season results.
What if an athlete does not qualify? If an athlete does not qualify for Level 2 or Level 3 events, they will be invited back for the 2nd Qualification Round/Skills Competition on Wednesday, August 11th
What if an athlete does qualify? If an athlete does qualify, they have the opporunity to compete in Level 2 and Level 3 golf events
Note: Golf Skills Qualifier Guidelines will be released before July 7th
