The Penobscot, Piscataquis & Hancock Area Candlepin Pin Bowling event will be held in person at the Bangor-Brewer Bowling Lanes in Brewer. Teams will be assigned a day/time to help reduce congestion on the lanes. Athletes will bowl two games and will receive a ribbon award at the event. Qualifying scores required.

Individual Bowling
Ramp Bowling
Assisted Ramp Bowling
Unified Doubles Team Bowling (1 athlete & 1 Unified Partner)*
*(If a Unified Doubles Team athlete requires a ramp, please write in “Ramp” after their last name)
Dates:
Tuesday 1/24 (Schools AM, Adults PM)
Wednesday 1/25 (Adults AM & PM)
Times: 9am-3:30pm (Seperated into 2-3 sessions per day)

Please note that the safety of all involved is our priority. Participants will be required to follow all Return to Play protocols during training and competition.

Requirements for Participation in the Candlepin Bowling Event:
Please complete the following:
Step 1: Complete PPH Area Candlepin Bowling HOD Registration Form by 1/5
Step 2: Complete PPH Area Candlepin Bowling Athlete & Unified Doubles Registration Form by 1/5
Step 3: Read through Special Olympics Maine’s Return to Play Guidelines & Protocols
Step 4: Complete ALL required forms below for Athletes, Coaches, Volunteers & Partners prior to the event, if not already submitted. (Athlete medicals expire every three years)
1) COVID-19 Participant Code of Conduct & Risk Assessment Form (ALL)
2) Communicable Disease Waiver (ALL)
3) COVID Supplemental Form (ALL)*
3) Medical and Consent/Release (Athletes Only)
4) Volunteer A/Unified Partner (Coaches, Volunteers, Partners Only)
5) COVID-19 Point of Contact/Response Person (HOD or Head Coach that will be present during the event)

*PPH Area is close to knowing if >80% of participants are vaccinated. Please submit your COVID Supplemental Forms ASAP as this will determine how we organize the event and if masks will be required inside should the community transmission rates rise.
