Penobscot/Piscataquis/Hancock Area Winter Games

February 12 @ 8:00 am - February 13 @ 5:00 pm

2024 Special Olympics: Penobscot/Piscataquis/Hancock Area Winter Games Registration

IMPORTANT WEATHER UPDATE!

Due to the predicted snow storm there will be no events on Tuesday 2/13. All events Tuesday will be moved to Monday 2/12.

We have been watching the weather, and although everchanging, there is a good chance for significant snow on Tuesday that would impact transportation to the event. In order to provide athletes with the appropriate opportunities on Monday, we are making this call to move events in advance.

Please CLICK HERE to see revised schedule. Final races for all snowshoe, Nordic and alpine will happen Monday. Arrival times remain the same for schools and adults in snowshoe and nordic. Alpine school skiers (Div.1) arrive at 9am with your school, adult alpine skiers (Div. 2-6) arrive at 11:45 with your agency. All adult snowshoe athletes will complete a 25m Snowshoe Time Trial and then will be divisioned into ability matched heats for their registered races based on this time. Speed skating remains unchanged.

The Winter Games Banquet will still take place at the Hilton Monday evening (tickets for this are nonrefundable). If you are staying overnight Monday and need to make changes with this, please contact the Hilton directly.

Thank you all for your understanding!! Should be a nice weather day Monday!
