2023 Regional Special Olympic Track & Field Meet
When: Friday May 12, 2023 from 10:00 to 1:30 (9:00 team registration, rain date on Monday May 15th),
Where: Camden Hills Regional High School Campus Track at 25 Keelson Drive in Rockport, Maine
Parking : Please park in the upper student parking lot on campus. You may also park along the campus roadway as
long as no fire lanes/ entrances or vehicles are blocked.
10:00 Team Parade (line up 9:45): Fans should head to the grandstand bleachers (see map). Don’t forget to
represent/ wear your team’s colors! We love team signs & enthusiastic, respectful fans! We will announce teams as
they walk toward the bleachers (please hold your team signs up in front so the announcer can see them).
10:00 Opening Ceremonies Teams will march & group up in sections, just on the field side of the grandstand. We
will make announcements, sing the national anthem and state our creed.
Please repeat after the announcer: “Let me win… But if I cannot win…let me be brave in the attempt.”
Post Ceremonies: Let the Games Begin ! (see order of events below & refer to map, you may go onto the center
field at this time, but PLEASE avoid walking on the track as much as possible as we are using it for events!) We
appreciate respectful fans & your patience with our volunteer team- we cannot hold this event without their help.
Again, please respectfully watch events from the sidelines/ field, NOT on the track. Thank you!

during this annual track event 🙂
