I hope this finds you doing well and enjoying this summer that is going by much too quickly. To that end, it won’t be long before we will be into fall, and our fall training and competition schedule. With recent guidance from SOI, and guidelines/protocol from the Office of the Governor, we are pleased to offer our updated Return to Play (R2P) plan which will take effect immediately, for all “in-person” activities/events.
Within this plan, please note that the protocols listed are consistent to where the Special Olympic activity is taking place. (In other words, the Low, Moderate, Significant “COVID Rates” outlined take into consideration WHERE you are conducting your activity). If you travel to another area/county to take part, the guidelines are specific to that area/county. Please note that when you are attending a State Level activity/event, we will consider the State Level guidelines for everyone attending.
The color coded “levels” are based on number of new cases of COVID daily, and/or documented percentage of vaccinated participants. And within these levels, each comes with its own mandatory local regulations AND additional Special Olympic precautions, which must be followed.
As a reminder before any participation can take place, the proper COVID forms need to be complete for all participants (athletes, coaches, unified partners, volunteers, etc). We all understand, this is a VERY fluid situation and things can change quickly, week to week. Therefore it is important to check the 7 day average prior to attending your next activity/event.
