Scarf Project 2021 Update

ATTENTION SCARF MAKERS: thank you so much for your commitment and dedication to making sure that our Winter Games athletes have a warm, handmade scarf for their competition. Unfortunately, our state Winter Games have been canceled. We would like to ask that you slow down a bit and hang on to the scarves you have already made or are working on. We will plan to keep the same colors for the 2022 Winter Games : BLUE AND WHITE. We will begin collecting the blue and white scarves again starting October 1st, 2021. Thank you again and we look forward to seeing the scarves next Fall.

Special Olympics Maine is reaching out to knitters (and to those of you who crochet) everywhere to help with the 2022 Scarf Project. We are hoping to have 500 scarves donated in time for the 2022 Special Olympics Maine State Winter Games in January …enough so that every athlete will have a scarf for their winter competition… and possibly every volunteer/ coach as well. Please send in by January 10, 2022. Scarves only. No hats.

Scarves can be mailed/delivered to:
