This beloved event, presented by the Maine Law Enforcement Torch Run and supported by Hammond Lumber and the Maine Warden Service Dive Team, is your chance to leap into icy waters for an incredible cause—supporting the athletes of Special Olympics Maine.
Why Take the Plunge?
Since 2013, the Ice Out Plunge has raised critical funds to help provide year-round sports training, competitions, and inclusive leadership opportunities for over 5,200 athletes across Maine. Every dollar raised ensures that Special Olympics Maine can continue creating opportunities for athletes of all ages and abilities to grow, connect, and thrive.
What You Need to Know:
- Event Date & Time: March 15th, 2025, at 12:00 PM
- Location: Maranacook Lake, Winthrop (in front of the American Legion)
- Fundraising Minimum: $100 (includes a commemorative long-sleeve Ice Out Plunge t-shirt!)
- Registration Requirement: Participants must register and provide a credit card to ensure the minimum is met—don’t worry, your card will only be charged after March 29th if you don’t reach the fundraising goal.
