Sailing gives athletes the opportunity to build confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while enjoying one of Maine’s greatest natural resources.
Through training and competition, athletes learn to work together, communicate, and navigate the water in a fun and supportive environment.
Special Olympics Maine currently offers a Unified Sailing program in Cumberland County, where athletes and Unified Partners train and compete side by side as teammates.
