Kick off 2027 the Maine way — by taking a freezing plunge into the Atlantic for a great cause! The Lobster Dip is Special Olympics Maine’s largest fundraiser of the year, bringing together thousands of brave “dippers,” spectators, and supporters on Old Orchard Beach every New Year’s Day.
Gather in front of The Brunswick as participants take the icy leap into the ocean to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics Maine athletes. Whether you’re diving in yourself, cheering from the sand, or donating to support a dipper, every bit of participation helps fund year-round training, competition, and health programs for Maine’s Special Olympics athletes.
